There is a reason purple is associated with royalty. In ancient times, the dye was extracted from mollusks and therefore insanely expensive. Now deep versions of the color still signal luxury and passion, while softer tones are famously soothing and calming to the soul. We have taken this royal colour and muted it to a soft inviting mulberry.
Ironically grey isn't a color that a lot of people choose to use in their home decor or even their wedding . That's probably because grey tends to be associated with dreariness and depression. Quite the opposite to purple.  It also tends to be a formal color which means it's often avoided in homes that seek to be a place of fun self-expression. Yet used in subtle ways and different tones, warmed up with earthy browns; grey is purple's perfect companion.

 Stage the outdoors.

From long and expansive verandahs where your imagination can run amuck to Even  a small home which has only a teensy postage stamp–size verandah lay it up with a cute café table and chairs, a cheerful tablecloth and even a little tray of dishes or a vase of flowers.
And with a larger verandah detaiing it into rooms to allow for intimate settings using these same ideas mentioned earlier.
When people look at this scene, they won't be thinking "small" or "impersonal" they will be thinking, "What a charming spot to have breakfast!"
