Sometimes when ideas float in your head, it only takes a chance meeting,  a picture, a comment  to secure the concept fully in your mind. This happened when I met the beautiful sisters Sophia and Molly. Their  personalities,  striking looks, high cheekbones, freckles and green eyes could only be capped by the fact they were identical twins. Heaven!

I have always wanted to do a forest style shoot, memories of my childhood, mixed with the fantasy worlds  I read about.  I  wanted to show girls being more than the princess styled fairies, which I do love but show them being the gentle, sweet, nurtured and natural but with strength and protecting the forest they love.

In less than two months I had the pleasure of meeting a friend of a friend, who arrived fresh from Wales with two daughters, identical twins with such a similar look to my older twins , I audibly gasped  - I think my first words were .. "Can I photograph your daughters?"
Two sets of Identical twins that look alike  `equals photo shoot heaven, wouldn't you say?

When I spoke to the amazingly talented Casey from Casey Jane Photography about my idea and was so blessed and excited to work with this amazing young photographer, whose eye for detail,  energy and commitment were so inspiring. We set a date and went full steam ahead.
The experienced eye of  Shantelle (Shantelle Hall Hair and Make Up) captured the natural look with a sense of drama. I can tell she knows her stuff!

Designing and sewing costumes for this shoot was wonderful with all the typical will this fit/work feel and look right  dilema's us creatives have, but I am so pleased how they came up.
I have to say making the bow and arrows was by far the most frustrating and rewarding prop ever made by DMV!

Huge shout out to our shoot assistant  Peyton, who  had pulled out all the stops, she climbed trees to hold lights/flashes in all the right places, flicked leeches of us, and could find any light with her reflector in a forest was amazing.

The Twins.
Thank you girls, your work ethic, your "never mind the leeches" attitude, your ability to take direction, made you four the best four models I could have found. ~ Isabella
